A production cel from the Filmation Studios animated segment "The Adventures of Superboy" (1966-1969), which aired on the series "The Superman/ Aquaman Hour of Adventure" (1967-1968). Featuring a side profile of a large Neanderthal, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season two episode titled "The Neanderthal Caveman Caper," which aired on October 21, 1967. Measuring 10.5"x12.5" overall, with the character image measuring approximately 7.75"x6.25", the cel is in very good condition with paint lifting on the character's smock and green paint splotches in a few areas.
